i, jessica margaret brain, am proud to admit that i love christmas.
i love spending time with my family and playing games and seeing everyone happy and together. i know that not everyone shares in my absolute adoration of this time of year, but i just hope that maybe i can rub off on them a little and spread the love!
tomorrow i will be leaving to go to esk and have christmas eve/day with my dad and his family, so i wanted to wish everyone a very merry christmas, and (if i dont get to post before then) an even better New Years!

i have some traditions that i participate in every year at christmas time. number one is seeing the christmas lights in my local area, i did that tonight with mum, martin, peter, kynnan, maddy and georgie (last 3 are peters kids, they're nice!). the cleveland uniting church was by far the winner and they even had live music (strings playing christmas carols!!)
the second tradition is that every year, at christmas time, i watch a taped-off-tv copy of 'The Muppets Christmas Carol'. It is my absolute FAVOURITE christmas movie and i still giggle at all the funny parts and sing along to all the songs!

merry christmas to all my friends out there, i hope you remember to tell your family you love them and have a great time over the next few days! you are all amazing people and i wouldn't be who i am without knowing you all :)

update on mr. rubber band ball

well i promised to post a photo of the new and improved rubber band ball, so here it is...

so, im pretty sure you can see what i mean now about the colour layers and about how BIG its gotten :)
i am so proud!
and the one rule with rubber band balls is that you'r not allowed to BUY the rubber bands, you have to find them! so that makes it even more impressive i think!
i just googled 'world's biggest rubber band ball' and oh my godd! it is HUGE!! check it out...

that dude on top will be me one day, except obviously not a guy and a bigger rubber band ball so i can beat his record 6-foot tall (as tall as me :0 ) sphere!
last year, when i first started making the rubber band ball, clare/rosie planned a surprise for me and made a trail of rubber band to my locker! it was so good because i 'found them' and didnt buy them or anything! that was also around the time of secret santa last year in k block hahaha and that reminds me of when clare and i filled emma's locker with seed pods because she said i was a bad secret santa! that was so funny haha!!
clare, if you're reading this...you're a great friend!

i am really looking forward to seeing how the new season plays out with all these fresh faces! if you read the profiles then you'll see that it sounds pretty good so far, they give you a bit of a background on the characters and i think that effy and jj are going to be my favourites, but never know, that could change!
my favourite characters from season 1 and 2 were chris and cassie, although maxxie was pretty cool too (and hot...meoww!)

is, according to wikipedia, an ongoing community mail project in which people mail their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.
i have been following this amazing blog since the beginning of the year and have come across some really funny, touching, sad and just plain true secrets.
some of them i love because i can relate to them, other because i think they are just so touching, and occasionally i just like a secret because it looks cool haha
